Description We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to help ensure the protection, privacy, and compliance of technology systems and data. This role is instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing secure solutions, and providing expertise in cybersecurity and digital privacy. Key Responsibilities: + Cybersecurity Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain robust security protocols for protecting networks, systems, and applications from breaches and vulnerabilities. + Threat Detection and Assessment: Perform regular audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. + Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, provide detailed documentation, and establish immediate corrective actions to reduce downtime. + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure systems are compliant with industry standards and government regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2. + Collaboration: Partner with IT, software development, and QA teams to foster security best practices across development and implementation lifecycles. + Cloud Security: Administer security measures for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) while safeguarding sensitive client data through encryption and authentication. + Risk Mitigation: Develop tools, policies, and protocols to minimize risks while optimizing system performance and operational efficiency. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. + 3-5 years of experience in a Security Engineer or cybersecurity role (Source: SG25 US Technology.docx). + Proven track record of securing systems in industries such as technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, or government (Source: SG25 US Technology.docx). + Expertise in digital security and privacy tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption software, and SIEM solutions (Source: SG25 US Technology.docx). + Proficiency in threat modeling, ethical hacking, and penetration testing methodologies. + Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and services, especially within AWS and Azure environments. + Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, including SOC 2, CIS Controls, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification (Source: SG25 US Technology.docx). + Experience in scripting and automation tools to streamline security processes. + Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex security challenges.
